 Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. My 13-year-old son trains at Gracie Barra North York and we were in Montreal for the Quebec Open.  My son was travelling without his team and coach, and I reached out to GB Montreal to see if they could help him during his matches. Thanks to Lev who facilitated and Phil who was in his corner.  Mix of good training and good coaching, and my son placed first in his division. So, thanks to GB Montreal for stepping up to help out. Q: Do I need previous martial arts experience to join Gracie Barra?
A: No experience is necessary! The GB1 Program is designed for beginners and those new to Jiu-Jitsu.

Q : Devrai-je faire du sparring lors de mon premier cours ?
A: No. GB1 focuses on drills, technique, and controlled training before introducing sparring. Once you progress to the GB2 program, usually after 4 months of training, you will be ready for live sparring.

Q: How many classes can I attend per week?
A: Our memberships are unlimited! You can attend all the classes you are eligible for, and train jiu jitsu as much as you want! You can even occasionally visit other Gracie Barra schools any where in the world for free!

Q: Are the BJJ classes at Gracie Barra suitable to all fitness levels?
R : Oui ! Les cours sont conçus pour s'adapter à votre niveau. Vous progresserez progressivement ; nul besoin d'être en forme avant de commencer.

Q: Will I Learn self defense techniques in regular classes?
A: Absolutely. Our GB1 Program includes one different self defense techniques in every class. That should cover all the most likely scenarios you might ever have to deal with in real life.
